The pamphlet sets out the theme and major issues of the 1984 Toronto IWD march and rally. The theme of Rise Up for Choice, Jobs, and Peace included a wide range of issues including childcare, free-standing abortion clinics, right to live openly as lesbians without discrimination or harassment, equal pay for work of equal value, organizing the unorganized, amnesty for undocumented immigrants, and more.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
