In 2000, Status of Women Canada organized an Aboriginal Women’s Roundtable to provide a forum where First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women could share their expertise and to foster a dialogue on key policy issues affecting Aboriginal women. More than 35 First Nations, Métis, and Inuit women from a wide range of regions, organizations, and life experiences participated in the Roundtable. This report incorporates the comments made by participants in a draft of the proceedings.
