Reports from the Social Issues and Education Committees to the Congress of Black Women Toronto Chapter AGM highlight advocacy on West Indian immigration issues for women and provision of services to black domestic workers, and an outreach project to provide information on sexual assault, black women’s self-image, and health. Events were also held on the impact of racism in Toronto schools and Nicaragua. A reception was held for bell hooks.
