This report from the Mayor’s Task Force on Women’s Issues in Regina was released February 29, 1988. The task force was created in part to review women’s issues in the municipal context and to give recommendations within the municipal jurisdiction. Issues include family violence, housing, child care, seniors, health, communication, children’s services, urban design, social development, and the city as an employer for women. Contributing women’s groups include Saskatchewan Action Committee on the Status of Women, Regina Healthsharing, Immigrant Women of Saskatchewan, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Regina Day Care Association, Regina Native Women, Rainbow Youth Centre, Regina Women’s Community Centre and Sexual Assault Line, Y.W.C.A, and Regina Transition Women’s Society.
