This 1978 statement calls for supporters to gather outside Toronto City Hall to demand that charges be dropped against four people arrested at the “Snuff” movie protest on November 5, 1977. The protest, organized by Women Against Violence Against Women (WAVAW), was staged outside the Cinema 2000 theatre and was aimed against films depicting violence against women.
