“Abortion: A Human Right for Women” sets out why the current system under the 1969 amendments doesn’t work and demands that the provincial British Columbia government to take action in appealing to the federal government to remove abortion from the Criminal Code. It also calls on the province to create community-controlled clinics to provide birth control information, pregnancy testing, therapeutic abortions, maternity care, sterilization and vasectomy, and to make the medical profession more responsible to the public.
