This study by the Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women presents an overview of aging women. Through the use of statistics and other relevant materials, the report examines areas such as society’s attitudes towards elderly women, their position in the labour market, menopause, and empty nest syndrome. The report concludes by presenting both short and long-term steps that can be taken to improve the status of aging and elderly women in Canada.
