This is a report published by the Standing Committee on Health, Welfare and Social Affairs regarding wife abuse that discusses the needs of battered women, how they are treated by the courts, support services and larger society compared to how society treats the batterers. The report concludes with both immediate and long-term recommendations to help battered women and deter wife battering.
