The VD Handbook is the second major publication of the Handbook Collective
The authors see the booklet as their contribution to a mass education project against the ignorance and confusion surrounding venereal diseases and sexual health and offer their medical expertise to support the right of women and men to have scientific knowledge about their bodies, their sexuality, and the diseases related to sexual intercourse. The booklet includes detailed descriptions of female and male anatomy as well as descriptions of sexually transmitted diseases including gonorrhea and syphilis. To encourage public education around sexual health, the handbook includes detailed breakdowns of the causes, symptoms, and treatments for several venereal diseases.
