General Information

Would you like to learn more about and help preserve an inclusive history of diverse feminist activism in Canada? Are you interested in connecting with a feminist community working to build a digital archive representing this history? Are you looking for opportunities to share your time, skills, and enthusiasm to support a volunteer-organized, activist-oriented online archive?

Rise Up! Feminist Digital Archive is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization with charitable status.  We rely on the commitment of volunteers on our Committees, Collective and Board of Directors to oversee our development and to carry out the work required to support this project.

EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Rise Up! aspires to reflect the diversity of past and current grassroots feminist activism through our archival collection. We also aim to address barriers to equity and inclusion within our own organizational structures, membership, decision-making, and practices, and to acknowledge there is still more work to be done.  We encourage those who have been marginalized or excluded by systems of oppression to apply and invite every prospective volunteer to review our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

MAKING A COMMITMENT

If you would like to help us advance the work of this exciting archival project,  email us at info@riseupfeministarchive.ca outlining your interest in Rise Up! as well as any related  experiences and skills. We look forward to hearing from you!

Intrigued but not sure? Want to get involved but uncertain about the time involved? Most volunteers use their first months with Rise Up! to find out more before making a firm commitment. Reach out to us with your questions, and we can work together to find a commitment level that works for you.

You can find out more about our organization and structure in the Rise Up Volunteer Guide.
