The program for the March 29, 1980 panel and workshop on Women and Unions: Bringing Women into the Union Movement highlights Madeleine Parent of the Canadian Chemical and Textile Workers’ Union as the keynote speaker. Panelists spoke about the pros and cons of women in unions, as well as organizing in different sectors. Afternoon workshops topics covered Why Organize?, Negotiating Women’s Issues, and the Economic Position of the Women in the Labour Force.
