This undated pamphlet by the Native Women’s Committee of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women (NAC) looks at the discriminatory impact of Section 12 (1) (b) of the Indian Act, which removes the rights of Indian women who marry a non-Indian, an Indian not from the band, or an Indian living outside Canada. The woman’s children are also affected. The pamphlet outlines calls on people to take action to end this injustice.
