The Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women/Conseil consultatif canadien de la situation de la femme issued the “Shocking Pink Paper” to highlight issues of women’s equality during the federal election. The bilingual pamphlet looks at women in relation to politics, violence, birth planning, technological change, work and job ghettos, the wage gap, and child-care.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
