This is an OCBCC press statement, February 1989, by President, Laurel Rothman, in response to a Globe and Mail expose of conditions in child care centres in Ontario. The Coalition presented the Ontario Government with recommendations to improve the quality of child care in Ontario by taking rapid action, including a demand that the provincial government put more financial, human, and capital resources into child care as promised under its own policy, New Directions, 1987.
