This CDCAA bilingual conference was held in Ottawa from April 21-25, 1988. The program included keynote presentations by Monica Townson, Nancy Riche, Stella Guy, and Lesley Russell. Workshops were held on policy, strategy, skills building, and general information (such as workplace child care). Provincial/territorial workshops also took place, and the conference concluded with a lobby of federal MPs from all federal parties.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
