This CDCAA paper explores the arguments in favour of limiting government funding to public/non-profit child care services. It emphasizes the findings that quality is more likely to be found in non-profit child care and concludes that the federal government must establish not-for-profit administration of child care services as a clear goal for the child care policy framework in Canada.
