Profile of Aboriginal Women in Saskatchewan

This report offers an overview of key issues important to Aboriginal women and is designed to assist community-based organizations and government policy-makers to better serve the needs of Aboriginal women and their children. Developed by the Saskatchewan Women’s Secretariat, the document addresses demographics, education, employment, income, housing, families, violence, and health. In addition to statistical information, the profile features comments by a number of First Nations and Metis women in Saskatchewan. Linda Anderson, an Aboriginal artist, created the illustrations to complement the report and her interpretation of “Spirit Woman.”
