This 1992 report was compiled by the Task Group of Abortion Services Providers following concerns about the government’s slow progress toward improving abortion access in Ontario. The report’s primary goal is to identify the key barriers that perpetuate unequal access to abortion services in Ontario and develop strategies to overcome them. The report focuses particularly on how abortion access is influenced by language, class, race, disability, age, and location. The report makes a series of recommendations on how the Government of Ontario can support women’s equal access to abortion services and build a more comprehensive health care system.
