This booklet was produced by a group calling itself Equality Eve during the constitutional discussions in the early 1990s leading up to the Charlottetown Accord. It looks at earlier constitutional discussions, including those resulting in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Meech Lake Accords, and argues that women and minority groups need to be involved. Decisions about federal and provincial responsibilities will affect important questions such as equality rights, the social safety net, and social programmes.
