Feminist action for peace included involvement with organizations such as The Voice of Women, which was set up specifically to promote world peace and disarmament, campaigns against nuclear weapons such as the opposition to the Cruise missile, solidarity with movements fighting imperialist and colonial wars around the world such as the anti-Vietnam and anti-Gulf Wars, and alliances with Indigenous resistance at Oka and elsewhere.
