This brief submitted by CARAL to the Special Joint Committee of Senate and of House of Commons on the Constitution of Canada argues that the Constitution Act, 1980, was being pushed through too fast, without due consideration of how provisions on “the right to life” may undermine women’s right to a safe abortion.
