This is a letter from Robert White, Canadian UAW head, and Edith Johnston, Canadian international representative responsible for Canadian unions’ department dealing with women and retired workers. The letter invites Canadian locals to send delegates to the September 1981 women’s conference, noting that more women are becoming involved with the UAW and organizers are expecting more participants than ever before. The conference was to be lengthened to two-and-a-half days.
