The Statement on Women’s Rights adopted by the Canadian Labour Congress at the 1974 Convention addressed a wide range of women’s equality issues, including child care, abortion rights, unionization, and equal pay and equal work. It also called for the CLC to investigate hiring a co-ordinator for women’s issues. This version of the CLC statement is one reprinted by Organized Working Women.
