Campaign Child Care is a coalition of national and provincial organizations, including the Canadian Labour Congress, that organized activities and public education in support of a national child care program that is publicly funded, high quality, nonprofit, and comprehensive. It also supported complementary parental leave. The Campaign aimed to ensure child care was a high priority in the 1993 federal election campaign and for all political parties.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
