This report was prepared by the Social and Economic Policy Department of the Canadian Labour Congress for the 8th Biennial National Women’s Conference in Saskatoon in June 1993. It presents some of the key impacts of the recession upon women workers, including pushing women out of the labour force, increasing part-time work, and increasing the poverty rate of families.
