In 1973, the Canadian Negro Women’s Association played a central role in initiating the National Congress of Black Women at a conference held in Toronto. This brochure identifies committee members who organized the event, as well as sponsoring groups and patrons. There is also a short overview of CANEWA’s history and involvement.
