This pamphlet prepared by the Federation of Women Teachers’ Associations of Ontario (FWTAO) summarizes the report of an FWTAO committee established to inquire into the extent of the crisis of physically and mentally abused women, its impact on children and the classroom, and the issue of the values and expectations being taught. Recommendations address steps the FWTAO should take including with the Women Teachers’ Associations, Ontario Federation of Teachers, Ontario Government, Ministry of Education, Federal Government, and Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission.
