The theme for Toronto IWD 1980 was Bread and Roses in the 80s: Jobs and Rights for Women. It covered a wide range of issues related to full employment rights for women, full support for all social services, control of our bodies, a safe and healthy environment, and solidarity with the struggles of women nationally and internationally.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
