The GLARE brief calls for sexual orientation protection to be added to the Human Rights Code, the repeal of anti-gay laws, and formation of education campaigns to challenge heterosexism and bigotry. It gives its support also to changes to redress injustices faced by the black community, the disabled, and women.
Rise Up! believes that learning about social movements from original historical materials is an important public good. We believe that these materials should be accessible to the public for research or education and, of course, for discussion and review.
