This April 1988 bulletin was issued by the Child Care Committee of NAC following a multi-lateral meeting in February between provincial day care directors and federal officials from the Department of Health and Welfare. It warns that the federal government’s National Strategy on Child Care limits the dollars available for expansion and is a strategy of containment.
