The NDP prepared a lengthy response to the NAC lobby questions. Their responses covered many issues including restoring full funding to the Women’s Program, proposed policies to fight violence against women, recognition of Aboriginal right to self-determination, abortion and access to reproductive services; a national child care program, tax reform, improvements to Employment Insurance and maternity and parental leave benefits as well as employment equity and including sexual orientation as a prohibited ground of discrimination in the Canadian Human Rights Act.
