The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation was a member of the Canadian Teachers’ Federation in the 1980s and one of a number of teacher federations actively involved in pursuing affirmative action programmes. As this CTF pamphlet notes, statistics suggest that education systems both model and perpetuate gender inequality for both staff and students.
