The 1984/85 Annual Report of the Pauktuutit Inuit Women’s Association is in both Inuktitut and English. It includes the President’s message, the aims and objectives of IWA, a list of members of the Board of Directors, an overview of the conference on Inuit Women and Economic Development, a report on the first Annual General Meeting, a summary of resolutions, a financial summary, and a list of participants. The President’s Message notes that matters of primary concern during the 1984/85 year were constitutional research, health, adoption, midwifery, cultural awareness and customary law, the justice system in the north, participating on various federal/territorial/provincial boards and committees, starting a newsletter, and organizing the Ottawa office.
