This history of the Voice of Women/Les Voix des Femmes was written in 1976 with an update that includes activities up to 1982. It gives an overview of VOW’s efforts to promote peace after its founding in 1960 and discusses important issues that the organization addressed, including early awareness of the destructive environmental impacts of arms production and war. The update mentions that although membership had declined, there was a renewed interest in VOW in the late 1970s.
