Dykes on Mykes: Lesbians and Sports Part One – 1991 Recording of Dykes on Mykes in 1991 hosted by Deborah Vanselt with guests to discuss women’s sports and their significance to the lesbian community. Vanselt interviews Nat, a lesbian hockey player, about her participation in hockey, the barriers and prejudice facing women and the history of women in hockey. Vanselt then interviews Tracey, a female bodybuilder who competed in the Gay Games and the International Gay and Lesbian Bodybuilding Championship in San Francisco. They discuss Tracey’s bodybuilding background, the barriers and prejudice facing women in bodybuilding, and being a woman of colour. Recording is part one of two; Lesbians and Sports Part Two.
