Periodicals

Many feminist groups produced newsletters, newspapers, and magazines throughout the 1970s to the 1990s. Dozens of different periodicals reflected the diversity of feminist ideology and activism and, in that pre-Internet era, played a central role in spreading feminist ideas and debates as well as information about actions, organizations, and issues. Regular coverage and discussion also became an integral part of progressive and labour periodicals. This section includes a range of periodicals from different regions across Canada and Quebec as well as ones representing the diverse voices of feminist activism.
