Economic Security

This section contains material on the fight against systemic economic inequality that kept women in situations of economic dependency and/or poverty. Items reflect a wide range of concerns, including income insecurity, housing and homelessness, unemployment insurance, social assistance, and pensions among others. While many of these fights for economic justice and security were specific to women, they also took place alongside others in economically precarious situations.
Materials related to economic inequality in the workplace are in the Work and Labour Section.
