Sole Support Moms Demand Welfare Rights

Sole Support Moms coalition banner at a welfare rights protest held on June 10, 1982 at Queen’s Park. The demonstration was organized as part of a campaign to protest provincial government plans to shift the cost of welfare payments to the municipalities. It was also supported by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Social Planning Council, Toronto Labour Council and Family Benefits Work Group.
