International Women’s Day! Jobs and Rights for Women!

The theme of the 1979 International Women’s Day March and Rally in Toronto was “Jobs and Rights for Women” and feature demands for jobs, full social services, control of our bodies, and lesbian rights. The poster was designed by Barbara Klunder. The March and Rally were again organized by a large coalition of feminist, labour, political and community groups. This included the International Women’s Day Committee (IWDC) which, by this point, had established itself as a socialist feminist organizing group, independent of the IWD Coalition..
