Air Canada’s Job Security is Insecurity This button was created during the 1985 strikes against Air Canada by the Canadian Air Line Employees Association (CALEA) and the Canadian Air Line Flight Attendants’ Association (CALFAA). It is not clear which union created the button. Both strikes involved a predominantly female membership and began after months of attempting to negotiate better wages, working conditions, and benefits. The button is white with the Air Canada logo on one side cut in half, along with black lettering stating “Air Canada’s Job Security is Insecurity” across the button. In the bottom right corner, there is a small logo with “Trades Union ABC Council” and the number 63. Metadata Title: Air Canada’s Job Security is Insecurity Date: 1985 Region: National (all of Canada)
