Eaton’s Account Card. I’ve cut into EATON’S

This rectangular 1985 button was produced to promote support for the 1984-85 Eaton’s strike, during which 1500 workers from six Eaton’s stores in Ontario sought to win a first contract agreement,  better wages and benefits, and job security. Widespread solidarity with the strike was shown by the labour movement, feminist organizations, and the general public. The button features the image of an Eaton’s account card with the words, “Eaton ‘s account card” on top followed by “ I’ve cut into Eaton’s”in red letters.
