This button was created during 1985 strike against Air Canada by the Canadian Air Line Flight Attendants’ Association (CALFAA). The strike which involved a predominantly female membership lasted six weeks.  Key issues were better pay and wage parity with other flight attendants, improved sick leave, guaranteed rest time between flights, and job security.  The circular white button has the words “I support CALFAA” in English and “J’appuie l’APENAC” in French, all in blue letters.
