This 1986 button promotes Julie Griffin’s campaign to be elected to the position of Executive Vice-President of the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL). Griffin became the first woman to be elected as a full-time Officer of the OFL. Her election followed a campaign organized through the OFL Women’s Committee that linked the need for affirmative in the unions with affirmative action in the workplace and led to the creation of affirmative action positions on the OFL Executive.
