This button was produced by Dykes Against Racism Everywhere (DARE) which formed in February 1980 when lesbians from New York City met and decided to attend the anti-Klan rally in Greensboro, North Carolina as a visible lesbian group. After the demonstration, they decided to continue as a lesbian group to struggle against racism.
