Save the Nursing Team

This button was created for the “Save the Nursing Team” demonstration organized by the Hospital Employees’ Union (HEU) in British Columbia during Nursing Team Week, held from May 13-18, 1991. The demonstration took place in front of the Vancouver General Hospital in protest of Bill 82, which imposed wage controls and impacted the number of nursing positions. The event demanded restoration of adequate nursing staff and the repeal of the wage controls impacting healthcare workers.
