Courage Above All: Sexual Assault Against Women With Disabilities

This 1991 report produced by the DisAbled Women’s Network (DAWN) Toronto examines sexual assault against women with disabilities. Despite the extremely high incidence, discussion of this topic is largely non-existent, including within women’s and disability groups. The report itself addresses issues such as causes and effects, stereotypes about disabled women, the police and legal system, and sexuality and sex education.
