AGM & Lobby (1991): NDP Federal Caucus response to NAC Lobby Questions, June 1991

The New Democratic Party (NDP) prepared a lengthy response to the 1991 National Action Committee on the Status of Women’s lobby questions. The responses covered many issues including restoring full funding to the Women’s Program, proposed policies to fight violence against women, recognition of Aboriginal right to self-determination, abortion and access to reproductive services; a national child care program, tax reform, improvements to Employment Insurance and maternity and parental leave benefits as well as employment equity and including sexual orientation as a prohibited ground of discrimination in the Canadian Human Rights Act.
