Ontario Federation of Labour Affirmative Action Coalition Statement (1985) This 1985 Ontario Federation of Labour statement to the Minister of Labour and Minister Responsible for Women’s Issue asks for a response to the Making Up the Difference brief submitted by the OFL. It also raises concerns over treatment of women who came forward at the OFL public forums on affirmative action. The Ontario Human Rights Commission and Employment Standards Branch did not reach out to the OFL about the submissions by these women but tracked them down individually, including in the workplace.
