The Effect of Sexism on the Career Development of Teachers In 1976, Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) created a Task Force on Women to investigate the effect of sexism on the career paths of women teachers in secondary education and to make recommendations on future directions. As part of their work, the Task Force not only compiled data on men and women members, but also conducted an extensive survey of members. The results included information about participation in OSSTF.
