A Guide to Fighting Workplace Sexual Harassment/Assault

This 1988 booklet by Bonnie Robichaud provides a detailed guide to sexual harassment in the workplace and how to fight it. In 1980, Bonnie Robichaud filed a ground-breaking complaint of sexual harassment and discrimination against her supervisor in the Department of National Defence. In 1987, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that sexual harassment is a form of discrimination against women and prohibited under the Canadian Human Rights Act. The ruling also established that employers are responsible for maintaining a harassment-free work environment. This booklet was published soon after Robichaud’s historic win.
